What do I do?

A li'l bit of everything. I am a designer at the core. In my 20 year career thus far I've been a Video/Film/Animation instructor ( Full Sail in Winter Park Florida ) Director of Digital Media for the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, Senior Designer for Matchlogic - Excite.com, Director of New Media for YPB of St. Pete Florida, and Creative Director for Virtuas Open Source Solutions. I also founded Timberline Group New Media, LLC in 2000. If it's creative, I do it. From Animation to Web Design and all points in between.

I write, shoot, produce and edit video. I author DVD's - Compress video for online delivery and manage distribution. I'm very hands on and enjoy every aspect of the creative process. When it comes to web design and development, I'm obsessed with Search Engine Optimization and SEO.Then there is Branding and Marketing. Nothing pleases me more than taking someone's idea and creating a logo, a look, a corporate I.D. and creating brand awareness.

I've been lucky enough in my travels to have met some talented people, who when part of a team create incredible work. I can manage them or roll my sleeves up and dive in, either way makes me happy! I'm proud to say that I have never worked a day in my life, because I enjoy what I do - I know it's cliche' but it's never once felt like work.

Creatives Needed - 05.18.2007 Those of you who have known me for sometime may know about my Crohn's Disease. That's a link to Wikipedia and it has a pretty good bread down of the condition. Well lately I've been going thru yet another, in a seemingly endless event, series of flare ups. So that said I've begun looking for designers we can deligate some of my work to. I'm looking for people with Joomla! and Drupal experience as well as traditional HTML ( XHTML compliant ) and CSS - with of course FLASH, Graphics and even some video experience. If this sounds like something you'd dig - drop us an email.

A House in the Hills - 04.27.2007 It has been a long time coming, but I finally bought a house up in the Mountains of Colorado. I found a great place a few miles outside of Bailey Colorado. Best thing about the place, is the enourmous garage that came with it. I plan on splitting the garage in two and building a studio. In the mean time, I still have a condo down in the Denver area. I created a boss and cool web site if you'd like to check out the crib. Only $112,900!

New Year starts with a BANG - 02.11.2007 and then a THUD, and then a BANG again! What a ride it has been. Virtuas, the OPEN SOURCE company I have been proud to be a part of since 2003 is closing down. Most of the folks have been let go except myself and my PM and good friend Hana. We are being assigned to another company. I won't get into why, it was a fun run and I made alot of close friends. On a brighter note, TGNM is finishished, and I will begin to develop citylinenewmedia.com as well as shorelinenewmedia.com to compliment Timberline Group New Media. The other two sites will focus on Corp and Profesional clients as well as travel and tourism. LOTS going on, and in the middle of all that Motorhead my bird died,and I turned 40! Never a dull moment.

Timberline Group New Media - 12.26.2006 - TG has been around going on 7 years now. Originally it was just my outdoor group for friends I offroad with. I expanded it to include hunting and fishing and then switched it to be the name and face of my freelance work. Things naturally evolved to combining the two passions. The goal is to bring the work I've done in the past for Fortune 500 companies, tech sector, entertainment, and medical fields to outdoor sports businesses and groups. Presently I am redesigning Timberline Group New Media, LLC and plan to release the new site early in 2007.

Dweezil is in the house - 12.11.2006 - So we were sitting around the house this fine December Sunday, admiring our 1 year old Pug Molly when the urge struck - Let's get another Pug! Ironically enough my wife found a litter in HAYS, KS - so 5 hours later we met "Dweezil" a 7 week old black pug and the rest is history. Molly already has her pictures on Flickr, so Dweezil will soon too.

Maxi-Cam - 11.4.2006 - Bigger is indeed better. I added a link to a much bigger version of my web cam here in this web page. The web cam I have running, as you may or may not know, either looks out the window, here in the studio, and even when I travel or drive around town. I've taken it on a few offroad Jeep runs in the hills, I've had it with me while fishing in Jersey, and who knows where it'll show up next. I'll have it auto update soon, until then have a look at "THE MAXI-CAM" now.

WOW - 9.7.2006 - I have a new addiction. WORLD OF WARCRAFT! Have ya played? You should! Unless you have a compulsive addiction disorder like I do. Like my addiction to guitars, breasts, and jeeps. This game ranks right up there. Pick it up, Log in and meet up with my character "Pugger"!

Web Design as you know it is DEAD! - 7.6.2006 - I am testing out various CMS tools, as well as blog engines, even wiki's. No idea what I'm talking about? Check the links. Good stuff and it's free. Mostly! Take a look at Drupal, Joomla, and Mambo. Also look into WordPress and Roller for blogging. The wiki's - well I'll leave you wiki on your own.
